Well, we can agree to disagree then. We'll see what happens. Sure, the Touchers used Throw Dirt... but my HB build used an RC Prot. Once the blind was gone, he'd put up his stance... only to suffer from the Irresistible Blow spam which would keep him on his rear 'till Whirling ended, at which point the Backbreakers did their job

If that happened with the toucher---apparently the monk on that side wasn't doing its job. <_<
...and since it was a hero touchie, I'm guessing....
I doubt it was intelligent enough to run from the paragon.

I count 4...Norm, Delor, Malae and myself. That doesn't quite make a tourney but it may be the only way I make it to the Final Four. Surely there are others in the guild that want to take a stab (no pun intended) at those of us who've already signed up?

I would love to, though I just may need to farm some faction before...though I do expect to lose within the first round, but it shall still be fun. I'm also willing to donate a mesely 15 platinum to be devided however The Mighty Khunlin sees fit (I haven't farmed since I got my Necro armor, so I'm pretty well broke ><). I just hope that it's a day I can actually be around (damn school and girlfriend for making me go home so often).

I'm included. <_< I said I personally wouldn't be participating (namely my pve self). I never said anything about my minions participating for me.

Alrighty... how do we want to do this? We can do a one-night tourney (which will probably be a set of 1-match games), or we can do it over the course of a few days, when the opponents can meet up (which will probably be a set of best-of-three's.) I'll set this up soon (the semifinals for a 6-player tourney will be interesting... but I have an idea), so if one (or two) more people want to sign up... do it quickly! I'll join in if only one more person signs up

Alrighty, last call!
I'll start the tournament next week. At the moment I intend to have it as a set of best-of-three matches whenever the competitors can both be on, rather than a one-night event. Fighting could start as early as Monday... so have your builds ready! I'll pick the "who you duel" thingies on Sunday... whatever their crazy technical name is... so sign up before that if you want in!
So, a quick "rules and stuff" recap: -Each team will fight three matches with their opponent, best of three wins. -Each match will consist of a race to 10 kills (this may change later) -There will be a time limit of 10 minutes, at which point the team with the most kills wins. If there is a tie, the one with the most recent kill wins. In case of no kills whatsoever, it's a Guild Lord gank race. -No flagstand/thieves. -No abuse of NPC's (each team will kill the other's footies before the fight) -Touchies are allowed, and there is no shaaaaaaame associated with them. Unless you use a three-touchie team. Then you will be shaaaaaaaamed. -You may bring any ressurection skills you want, but keep in mind that each team will (at the moment) be backed by a Death Pact Signet/Lively Was Naomei Rit to get your team mates up almost instantly, and himself if they die too quickly. Resses will be unnecessary. -You can change your build whenever you want.

It's in addition to the 4-man team, and will most likely be played by myself or another spectator. Unless you want a hero to play your resser.

Why would there be a rezzer in a 4 man team as a 5th man? I know that a spectator would be a good idea but they shouldn't do anything. Other than that I think this it looks fine.

I'm semi-copying the Hero Battles. The battles would be short and boring if there were only four deaths, and heroes can't operate the levers to get out of the base after ressing there. Trust me, HB would be lame if you had to res yourself... they're just too fast-paced.

I like Khulin's idea of a designated non-participating rezzer. No point in waiting for the rez shrine to activate.

Um...that's the point of signets and res spells unless I'm mistaken. I do understand the res shrine thing now though so I guess I have mixed feelings I really dislike the idea of an extra person getting that close to the battle, and it won't solve the res shrine problem any better than rezzes unless they are going to be opening gates as well.

Is a 1 man team allowed? Wouldn't be fair if I had 3 heroes to back me up. >=D
