Frequenters of our Guild Events forum may have noticed that group flailing has spread to even the most organized corners of the Republic. What used to be a place to organize truly grand adventures was quickly turning into the forum where Triia says "Sooooooooooo... what should we do this weekend? The answer was eventually reached somewhere on the second page or so. Such flailing was defeating the entire purpose of the board - a place to organize guild events that have already been decided on. The deciding will now be done in the Quest Organization board. Events that are deemed applicable to the entire guild will earn a thread in the Guild Events forum, complete with a signup sheet and other relevant information if needed. The Guild Events forum is thus now MANDATORY reading for all members of our Great Republic. So how does the Plans for Tonight fit into all of this? Just general musing, really - suggest an idea for the night's activities, ask if anything was decided the day before - anything goes. Of course, if you have something more specific or important, or have managed to plan more than a day in advance (*gasp*), feel free to make a new thread for it in the Quest Organization board. Ah, how I missed this thread.

Anyone up for some HA tonight? I'm not quite burned out on FoC spiking yet, so that would be fun - I'm curious to hear any other build ideas too.

I would LOVE to FoC some, as some know, I've been begging for PvP since before I was even home from vacation. Also, though, at some point in time, I want THK >.> Been waiting 2+ weeks for guild help (might have helped if I had posted something on the forums, eh?)

Drum, if you ever need help with something just make sure to post it or make a thread. Once the flailing is fully underway, it can be hard to stop the momentum at times. I'll be happy to help out with THK. I could go Saturday or Sunday night, but I'll be out of town for a few nights at the beginning of next week. I don't know if you've been through it before, but you've got a bunch of battle-scarred THK veterans here. We can get you through it no problem and have time for FoC afterwards.

Time for some sour grapes. It irks me that reading any forum is MANDATORY. When I brought up the idea of having your vent name match the name you actually want people to call you by, which should also match your forum name here by the way, so everyone can be less confused, I was met with excuses why having one person have 3 different names is just fine and seeing no one do anything to make any adjustment to how they went about their business. And just so you know I am still confused about who matches up to which forum name to this day. I also have a knee jerk reaction of resistance to having people tell me things are mandatory, particularly regarding my leisure activites. Anyhoo, rant over, gonna go check out the Guild Events forum now.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the "mandatory" thing. But I don't know how else to do this - fact is, we have more fun when everyone is informed and we can actually get stuff done. Look at The Deep, for instance. We need twelve guild members to come through for us. If some people aren't informed and don't know to show up at said time/place, it could screw the entire event over. Then everybody else's leisure activity becomes a lot less leisurely. I try to strike a balance between being laid-back and actually getting stuff done. Screaming "mandatory" in bold and all caps may be a bit nazi-ish, but it gets the point across and I see it as a worthwhile means to an end. The end, of course, being more fun for everyone.

I have completed 24/25 missions and bonusi for Tyria. My last one is Abaddon's Mouth. I attempted it from about 2 1/2 hours ago until now, and IT FREAKING GLITCHED! I am requesting back-up on a revisit to this dastard of a mission. And this post may be incoherent and downright silly, but I care not for it is 5:06 in the a.m.

Getting twitchy...it's Friday and we don't have a plan. Nightmares of flailing are reoccuring! Option 1: we've got Delor's build for GvG. Do we have 8 people interested? Position interested in? Time available? Someone else has to come up with options 2-?. My vote is for PvP of some sort.

I'd be up for some GvG...it has been a long time since we did any of that. HA has been fun, and I have enjoyed getting only 30-some fame away from Bambi, but FoC is getting old for me. If we do PvP this weekend (don't forget next weekend will be almost totally given over to PvP - Nightfall), my preference is for GvG, regardless of the build. My next preference would be for some HA, as long as we keep the FoCing to a minimum.

Umm....uh-oh. Gotta hurry and finish the build! Can't watch GvG at the moment though, too many 00bs in the top 100. If I see more interest by the time I wake up I'll post a more final-ish version of the build in the same thread(it's likely to involve 1 less W/E and 1 more E/Mo).

I'd be up for some GvG. I'm working on a build myself, but it's gotten a bit sidetracked by my recent obsession with leveling up I disagreeassin (who I made just to get skills, don't forget!! *twitch* ). EDIT: lol... I disagreeassin
Delor's looks pretty good - we can't really make up a signup sheet until he's done though. D: So hurry, Delor! The fate of the night, nay, the WEEKEND, lies on your shoulders!

If you're still going to use a Ranger as the runner, I wouldn't mind coming along. BUT, I don't know if I'll be off of work early enough for you guys. If it's anything like it was last night, I won't be off until 11 PM eastern. But I'll still get on and see what's going on.

I'd just assume continue tweaking Delor's GvG build tonight, starting from the changes that we made last night. That's more damage on the ele and mesmer, I believe, among other things. One thing though - we need a plan if we're required to split. I really didn't like how one of our two major damage dealers had to be wasted in a standoff at our base. If that happens again, I think a good plan would be to send one MORE than they have in our base to ensure killing them, leaving the warder and healers at the front lines to keep the remaining people alive. Does that make sense? EDIT: I'll go ahead and make a sign up sheet if I can get a few people to second the plan. Someone throw me a build and point me in the right direction!! RAWR!! *throws Triia a peanut butter build* Yay, Triia's gotsa big build! Yeah? You like that, Triia? You like it? Of course you do!
