Interesting... Update - Thursday, April 24, 2008
New end-game area: Players who complete Hell's Precipice (the final mission of the first campaign) will receive a Deldrimor Talisman. This trophy can be exchanged for one of the new Deldrimor weapons. The end-game area is permanent and will remain in place after the anniversary event finishes. Apparently it's the old TA outpost and the weapon skins are new.

We did it last night.
The end area is the Droknar's Forge end-game area you see in GWEN; you see various Prophecies NPCs. It's pretty amusing if you remember the lore at all of the first campaign and some of the NPCs.
I personally don't like the skins again (dwarf weapons don't appeal to me, it seems); you do have a shot at something for your efforts this time.
You can get green/gold variants of the skins. Have to craft the gold ones though.

I wish they'd just state how it carries over already. :/
I keep wondering if there is any meaning to getting my characters to complete their PvE. It's a bit drab to go through EoN alone so I haven't been doing it.

ANet just tried to make splits more viable. That's all I see in this update.

LOL...
Apparently Izzy has been TA'ing and hates Smiteway even more than I do, because he just totally went to town on Smiter's Boon.
25 energy, 5 sec duration, 90 sec recharge.
That's not just a nerf... that's... wow... Dude.

That's not just a nerf... that's... wow... Dude. That's epic. I laughed out loud when I saw it. Although... it makes me think: Khunlin makes a VoDPower build, ANet removes VoD. Khunlin hates smiteway, "Izzy" BAMPH!s smiteway. There's no Khunlinvision at all, is there? KHUNLIN IS IZZY!Looks like they've/you've also put a bit of pressure on water snare eles/messes and the thumpers... I think. EDIT: From the official GWW: " * During the 5 seconds duration you could cast 4 or 5 spells, which would net a healing of about 180 health on a reasonable divine favor. It is therefore clear that exchanging 25 energy for this amount of healing is a waste and it is therefore better to use any other monk skill for healing. " Hehehehe. The talk page is even funnier. eg "I'm pretty sure the April Fools' updates were more likely than a nerf of this magnitude"

We can neither confirm nor deny the validity of the views expressed above >.>
But on a related note: Glimmering Mark + Spinal Shivers + Winter is funny stuff. Fun fact: most hex removals have a 1 second cast, meaning that it takes inhuman timing capability to get it through without being interrupted. I smell a gimmick build!

Awesome stuff. One war + one ele on each monk... Dazed is there to make stuff like RC take > 1sec to cast Our hall is actually quite spirit-friendly, what with the twisty walls and big cliff and stuff.

No idea if this is a side effect of the update or what, but apparently the new Hero MM AI is "Don't use Blood of the Master, even when you're standing still." I had MoW and Livia with 8 minions each, and they didn't once use BotM without me having to micro them and keep them alive.
