I know we probably don't need new threads atm but I am trying to provide a place where all the newest GW updates, etc. can be discussed. Hopefully it will actually help prevent having a gazillion threads when all is said and done. Don't know how many read the skill/attribute discriptions that were updated last night and subsequently removed, but I think they're probably still on the Wiki update comments section and there's a GWG thread here.My fav quote from that thread:

Ok, so it looks like all of those "changes" that were leaked recently are going live. Here's the link to Gaile's comments: www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10167280. I like some of the things they're changing, and dislike others. As a PvE Necro, I really despise the change to Soul Reaping, but at least it is better than what we have right now. I will grant that SR was overpowered in PvP, just look at TOTAWm. Soe things don't seem to go far enough, while other just make me go "huh?" What do you guys think?

I'm not fond of things such as not letting armor buffs stack. But soul reaping doesn't bother me too much even with the nerf. It makes blood spike a bit more annoying in game but I don't have a problem with the current one that much otherwise.
My only real wish is that they'd have an inspiration magic spell that does some damage.
Mesmer buffs were kinda nice. I imagine melee boss farming will be quite easier with the clumsiness being faster but energy will be more of an issue then. *shrug* I'll have to see how it is in game.

Not fond of what they did to the ritualist. -_- . Spirit spamming is really dead. No idea why they didn't bump ritual lord out of the skill line.
That's the only thing that really bothers me.
Favor's change sounds like title whoring for GW:EN to me.

Well, I misread the crude swing to forget they removed the easily interrupt status. That's why I edited it out later.
Personally, I'm hoping they'll at least removed the exhaustion from Wanderlust. It's an elite!

Well, last night I logged in right after the update and after almost 2 hours the great unwashed masses managed to achieve the needed 20 titles to gain favor for an hour. So there is certainly hope but who knows. We did see a crazy person trying to sell their UW scrolls for 100K + 600ectos!
I have loved the skill forever but now I'm just in awe over the new GoEP!...10 skills! ...25s! That's just EXTREME!

But... *looks at ele changes*... Dual Attune GoEP Rodgort's Spike, anyone? The burnination was godly. I thoroughly lit up a Mesmer trying to IW spike me. 141 fire damage plus burning every 2.5 seconds... Fire spiking at 18 Fire Magic is fun. ;D

Additional Skill changes:
Dervish Rending Touch: increased recharge time to 8 seconds.
Necromancer
Reckless Haste: increased Energy cost to 15; increased duration to 6..12 seconds; increased recharge time to 12 seconds.
When they just did this:
decreased Energy cost to 10; decreased casting time to 1 second; decreased recharge time to 10 seconds; decreased duration to 4..10 seconds; increased miss chance to 50%.
<.< Seems inspiration magic is going to really have to be depended on to use it now effectively for farming.
Ritualist
* Wielder's Strike: reduced recharge time to 5 seconds.
So basically it's the ritualist's obsidian flame now with a slightly less charge time and without the armor ignoring dmg.
* Ancestors' Rage: reduced Energy cost to 5. Meh. I preferred the 10 energy cost without the exhaustion.
I sampled just a common channeling ritualist using wielder's strike over time. :/ The exhaustion is ridiculous. Might need to use glyph of energy to be a channeling ritualist now with either ancestor's or wielder's.

* Desperation Blow/Drunken Blow: these Skills now only knock you down if they hit.

I tested a ritualist with glyph of energy with both in its build. :/ It's really the best way to use them now. Wielder's Strike can be spammed as much but its better than the exhaustion.

Wow all the forums are in an uproar about this reconnect exploit that allowed duping of items (discovered on Armbraces of Truth but who knows how far it's spread). So its my understanding they've stopped the exploit by not allowing reconnects for now? ...and there's a few Chicken Little's running around yelling about a server reset...this should get interesting.

Guildwiki noted the item exploit. I'm hoping there isn't a server reset though. ~_~
Just got a very pain to farm ritualist green. Plus that devilish Shrieking Spear. -__- I think I'll die a little if they do.

With Holy Haste, the only problem I see is the slightly less degree of health. <_< But given they don't have to be below 80%---I see it as more of a plus. Healing prayers = ridiculous healing even more so now. Especially with Healing Ribbon + healer's boon.
Mostly I saw a magebane shot nerf and splinter weapon nerf as the only downsides really.
