Ok.... I demand that Republic pulls together sometime soon to have a festive gathering for the holiday! Wintersday is back again and I'd love to get together with everyone to enjoy the celebrations! Candy canes are back (wintergreen this year!) and there's a rainbow flavor as well this time around. There will be more headgear rewards again (is it just me or does the mesmer at the top of the page look like she's wearing an elf hat?) but even better is this news to go with it: Special Rewards: In the tradition of the season, you'll receive special headgear during the Wintersday finale. And even better, you'll get a new means of storing it, as well.
What could this mean?  Also, we can win Wintergreen weapons for predicting the outcomes of the upcoming tournament. I haven't registered yet, but I'd love to get a candy scythe to go along with the fancy Banana Scythe I hope to get soon. ;D The events start this coming Wednesday. Anyone want to try to get together Thursday night or something? |

I was so excited about the Wintersday info that I didn't catch your actual question Triia. YES! I want to get together Thursday night...and Friday...and when does it start on Wednesday?  I might have to dye my paragon red and get a candy cane spear! ;D |

I will be on an excessive amount this weekend(Thursday-Saturday mostly) due to the fact I'm getting kicked out of my dorm. Yes, my college is so dumb that they will call the police if anyone is in the dorms over xmas break.

As far as I know, I'll be around as normal every night except Christmas Eve and that random, obscure holiday that comes the day after. Trying to talk myself out of dying Arnen's armor red and green  Might look too ridiculous. |

It sounds like the event starts tomorrow, and historically, that would mean that it would be starting at 12:01 am PST tonight. There's a count-down timer at the top of the GW homepage but it's for the finale (egads! I misread that as 12 hours and some random minutes and had to stare at the screen for nearly a whole minute until my confusion dissipated). I will now make the Official Promise to myself that I will in NO WAY be staying up until 3 am tonight... we'll see if I can stick to it. I'll certainly be on tonight and hoping for one of those early surprises Anet likes to spring on us. ....and off well before 3! Don't you dare laugh at me!!  /fistshake |

Nope, definitely not here yet. I probably won't be able to be back until tonight and I'm not even sure when I'll be on tonight. I've been conned into a brutally epic gift-wrapping session. Hopefully it'll go quickly and I'll be on before 10.  Don't have too much fun without me! |

Has anyone else heard about the new "treasure" chests? Apparently they can be found all around Elona, do not require a key and will produce treasure once per character when you visit them. They can be found from Istan to the end game areas and drop gold items and a pretty good amount of gold, from around 500 in Istan to around 3k in the Torment areas. There's a thread on GWOnline that talks about some of the locations and also some info on guildwiki. If there aren't any new quests tonight, would anyone like to go treasure hunting? I can use that to warm up for the savage snowball fight that will be occurring later tonight.  |

I'm not sure I can commit to a hunt so I'll stay with a no comment at the moment.
The other item of note is the Acolyte greens have all been discovered. No unique skins. ...and the stats are fairly iffy on most.

Kaiser made a spreadsheet and there are so many blanks...wait that means I'm going to have to really get moving on some of my characters. Anyone up for some mad dashes (aka runs) to outposts near treasures?
