PSA: Don't delete your ascended trinkets *looks at nopants*

Along with the awesome Change-your-stats ascended gear and weapon change, there are plans in the works for being able to do something with your old pink trinkets. The banter in the thread suggests it will be introduced with HoT (tinfoilhat).
