Two things are clear:
a) we have a good few players who really want do more serious PvP
b) we don't PvP together very often
Since GW2 PvP is so quick and conducive to playing for just an hour or two, I think we can try to get some time in during the week and leave the weekends open for dungeons and whatnot.
So, post here if you want to come along for some semi-regular PvP action, and we'll try to organize a few nights/week!

This semester, I'm available any time Tuesday/Thursday, and can do Monday/Wednesday after about 6:30 PST (9:30 Eastern).

I'll usually be around on any weeknight until 11. Exceptions might be Thursday, if it's a virtual Friday (yay 9/80), or Friday, because it is a Friday. But since I'm an old man now, even if I do go out on Friday, I'm usually back in time to do something with you crazy west coasters.

Count me in. I've been pondering a guardian build designed to survive and annoy. I assume we'll have wiggle room on what to play?
My schedule ends early enough to avoid impacting our normal play time. I can be on sometime between 8-9 eastern and since I'm even older than Logo I have to be off closer to 10 most nights.

And I can post for Kaiser too...he's available every night except Tuesdays and while NOT older than me, he gets up way earlier and will be getting off earlier as well.

Yep, so far I haven't seen much reason to favor any classes above the others in these small games. But I, too, have been thinking about a Guardian so I'd be quite interested in seeing if it helps. |

I'm all over this. Haven't been around much the past couple weeks due to busy school schedule/BL2 (guilty, sorry), but definitely want to PvP.
I am open mostly Monday and Tuesday after ~9PM Eastern. Wednesday and Thursday after about 11PM Eastern. Fridays I would be home after ~8PM Eastern.

So far it's sounding like any night will work... I'm gonna be a little bold and say let's try to get on tonight! I'll be back from class around 9:30 Eastern. If there are five on before I'm back, feel free to start without me, of course.

And based on past experience, we're probably going to end up with too many (7-8) relatively often. In this case, I think we should avoid the "fair"/easy split of picking up PUGs and doing tourneys with two teams, since I believe that there are two separate thrust areas where we need to improve:
- Team/split tactics
- Individual skills/skirmishing abilities
To get better at the first one, we need to play more tourneys with 5 people on Mumble, no way around it. Bringing PUGs along throws a wrench in it and adds a new dimension that makes it harder to practice team tactics. So I think that it would be better to go in with full teams, while anyone extra can focus on practicing their build in the arenas. There are a lot of things you can practice in the arenas that will directly translate to sPvP (dueling, anticipating where enemy players will go and cutting them off, situational awareness, etc)
I can be voted down on this, of course, but I think that full team sPvP and serious arena play are the best way for us to get better as a group.

Alrighty, we got in some good rounds last night! If I remember correctly, though, Logo is gonna be out for the remainder of the week, and I have to do some coursework, so there probably won't be anything tonight. We'll try to keep it up, though!
