Actually, it hasn't doubled. It went from 10 Euros in alpha to 15 (~$20) in beta. It'll be 20 (~$26) when the beta is finished. It really is a lot of fun and I highly recommend checking it out. I joined in some multiplayer last night with Logo, Nick and Jay. They lied about the spider. It wasn't nearly as tame as they said. Think of all the awesome stuff we could build! (after clearing out all the vicious spiders, that is... ) EDIT: You have to know it's cool when it has merchandise on ThinkGeek.

Ok Kyle, I know it's Sunday, but I have homework for you. Minecraft homework, that is. This is the compilation that I use, the Yogbox. Some of those work in multiplayer and some don't. The Inventory Tweaks mod, for instance, works for me (and I LOVE it) but only if I don't have food (which another mod makes stackable) in my inventory. Not really a problem. Treecapitator tries to work, but won't so I think it's something you'd have to install. It's found in a sub-compliation (is there such a thing?) within the Yogbox, or just here. There are some other cool mods in there. Death chests are great (though I have yet to test if they work in MP) and shelves are fun for decorating. I could add more links and such, but I'm too sleepy to think about it right now. Perhaps later............ EDIT: GAH! I see you've turned on monsters! But that reminds me of a mod that might be very helpful. It's called Careful Creepers. Basically, they still explode, but don't cause environmental damage. I'd find that this might dramatically cut down on my inevitable whining that you'll soon have directed at you.

I got about ten minutes into looking up how to mod a multiplayer server (all that stuff looks like it's for singleplayer or something but I dunno exactly how mods work in Minecraft) then gave up for now. Does anyone know how it's done?

1.8 just came out! Lots of changes. I was going to look into modding servers, not that I know anything about servers, but I'm afraid that the update might have messed with a lot of the awesome mods. They'll probably catch up though. Now I just need to decide if I want to remove the Yogbox to see what exactly the new changes are.

I'm still waiting for a 1.8 server thingy? As far as I can tell, there isn't one yet... but it's not exactly well documented or organized

The big question is... do we want to migrate the server to 1.8? I don't know if it's easy to keep our map... if it's possible at all. I think we can use the old map but we'd miss out on 1.8's terrain generation features or something.

My apologies to anyone who tried to log in today, apparently my roommate held a party while I was in Ohio and my server's router was one of the casualties. It's back up now, I think.

*necros*
I know some of us have been interested in Minecraft again.
After talking to my other guild their Minecraft server is open for us to join. It's been updated recently and hardly anyone plays on it, so there is a lot of untouched areas to explore.
PM me for the server IP. I don't think there is a whitelist. If you have any trouble getting in let me know!
