Has anyone else heard of this little game? I'd been pondering it for awhile and discovered yesterday that the servers have been so hammered that the purchasing part of the game is down, therefore, you can play for free, for a little while at least. I'm not sure how long this will last. The game is currently in alpha but it's quite fun and very addictive. Basically, you try to survive in your little big world (you're pretty safe during the day but monsters come out at night and in dark places), collect resources and build stuff. Here's a video of what you can do with lots of time on your hands. I tried it out yesterday and despite thinking that I'd lose interest quickly, I keep finding things to do. It's not "pretty" but it has charm, nonetheless. There's also a multiplayer mode which could be rather entertaining with a bunch of us building stuff. I have no idea how to start a server up, though.

Ohhh yes. I never played the full exploration game (although the stories I've seen/read about it make it sound INSANE) but I've spent more than a few hours in the demo game with unlimited resources building towers and sky bridges and diving into lava-filled swimming pools from the top. So good. I just know a full RPG mode with item creation and mines to explore and boats and an infinite world would just be way too much.
...still tempting...

Coming back to this thread, Jesus Christ. This is exactly why I need to avoid playing Minecraft.

Weird.... I was literally just looking up how to set up a multiplayer server. That's crazy, though. Seriously... that guy is out if his *#%@ing mind. So, no one would be interested in building an epic guild hall?
