Ok I just saw this game and was thinking to my self "hmmmmm aliens + a lot of weapons + 4 people=.....OH YA". The game is called Alien Swarm. This game is a free downloadable game on steam and i thought maybe we could try it out. The game play is somewhat like a top view....well think of it as a Diablo camera view. |

Played the UT2k4 version with a friend before. Even though it was designed for 4 players, we beat it with 2 guys only. Very fun game but can be a bit challenging due to lots of dying.

Strangely enough, I heard about Alien Swarm the other day, saw it just now, and came to HLR to go "So... hmmm... this Alien Swarm..."
I have no idea if my laptop will run it.

Update: Curt's downloaded Steam onto his laptop and downloaded Alien Swarm. He had no idea what it was until I mentioned it this morning.

Finished about 80% of the game on hard without knowing. So much dying... oh so much dying.

Installed Steam on my laptop, but now it won't install.  It just sits on "Scanning Steam Games for updates" and goes nowhere. EDIT: NEEEEEEVER MIIIIIIIND. ;D |

My laptop can't run it above 10 fps at 640x480 full screen with everything low. I did play through offline training and it looks amazing though. Boo. |

Hahaha. No kidding. My brother's laptop runs it pretty well, but there is a two-year difference. I'm asking the owner of the arcade I frequent if he'll consider putting it on their PC section.

Yay for spitting out heal beacons instead of firing my weapon and then running out of heals when we needed them? Oh, but the grenades in Khunlin's face? ;D

I wish I could've seen a graph of who took the most friendly fire. It would be a close match between Jupiter and Khunlin - the former because of her tendency to run in front of me while I was trying to shoot things with my ginormous guns, the latter because of "Grenadefacegate."
