Steam's weekend deal is pretty amazing: store.steampowered.com/indiesaleFor $30, you get a whole slew of indie games, and I can personally vouch that at least 3 of them are brilliant: 1. Braid - Best puzzle game I've ever played behind Portal. But instead of bending space, it bends time. 2. Audiosurf - Turn any song into a race track based on the waveform of the music. You can play it like a game or an interactive visualization, and it's brilliant both ways. 3. World of Goo - Physics based puzzler that involves making wacky structures out of goo. Sounds iffy, but the kind of stuff they ask you to do is ridiculously creative, and the game oozes style. I've also heard great things about Darwinia. I've heard of the other games in passing, but I think they're the artsy type that you appreciate more than you enjoy. I could be wrong, though. So basically, the way I see it, you pay $30 to get $55 worth of amazing games with a few paintings for your virtual wall thrown in for free. Or, if you could just buy Braid twice. What an amazing game.

WOW. Great deal - if I didn't have World of Goo on the Wii already, Audiosurf on my laptop already (and if I had $30...), I'd so get this. I played a demo of Braid and it was awesome. I know Darwinia doesn't run on my computer though... Wish I had $30 just to buy this to download at any time... bah. Thanks for sharing though, Logo. Great find

Between the two of you, do you think that World of Goo would be better on the PC or the Wii? I could get it for either. (Only played the PC demo to this point.)

I'm not really sure. I played it on the Wii. I think the PC controls might be a bit easier (from when I played the demo), but it's probably worth it on either platform.
It's a shame you can't get the smaller package and select five that you want.
