I just popped onto Guru's recruiting forum on a whim and I couldn't resist sending this one a message.

Seeking medium-rare PvE guild with a dash of PvP on the side...

Food references are kind of eye-catching aren’t they?….. lol Hi there and thanks for checking out my post! I’m seeking a Guild to call home, maybe it’s in yours?

I’m casual, social (quiet scares me, is like the bunnies in GW:EN… all cute and good until someone gets zapped), always up to lending a hand (or axe/wand/bow) when I can, am Kurzick (I like trees!! *grins*), and active (nothing says stress-relief after a day of work like destroying red dots so yep am one of those “older players” also). I’m on the East Coast here in the States too so my game-time is usually evenings and weekends.

I enjoy PvE missions, quests, either running with a group or doing things on my own, exploring is always fun because there’s so many corners to poke around in and see what there is to see! Also I am always up for anything PvP be it GvG, HA, and have recently begun AB’ing (Trees!), not too much into TA or RA *yet*.

Please note I’m not a superfantastic player that thinks they’re all that plus a bag of chips. I don’t have maxed out titles or amazing skills, I’m just here to have fun, find kindred spirits to game with, and most importantly to work together as part of a team to accomplish things and help each other along the way (preferably while laughing our heads off over corny jokes).

So if your Guild is active, friendly, Kurzick, and has an opening for someone like me, give me a shout via PM and let’s see if it’s a fit!

Thank you so much for your message in response to my post! I've poked around through the link and site you were kind enough to provide and I must confess I am very interested. I understand that right now things are in a transitional period for the Guild but your core members come across as very thoughtful, mature, and ready for fun!
I did take the liberty of adding you and the officers to my friends list because I would like to come on a hunt or quest that you may go on to see if our personalities would mesh as well as I feel they would!

I need to find some time to update our "advertisement" (or... if anyone else wanted to take that on ) since that's an easy thing to either link to or cut and paste. I think overall it's in pretty good shape but could use a few tweaks. It would be nice to go ahead and post in on Guru and GWO to see of we get any bites. Even if you don't want to work on it, let me know if you have any suggestions.

I'd be a better proof reader than actual material creator as far as our ad goes. I'm open for whatever though, no specific thoughts yet.

I am an officer for the Half Life Republic [HLR]. We are a fairly small Kurzick guild (at least as far as active members) with two other small guilds as allies. We are mostly PvE oriented, but we do like to throw some PvP in (mostly GvG and HA), especially on weekends when we have more people around. We aren't trying to be a super high rank in anything, though it would be nice if we could achieve it. Mostly we are just out to have a good time. - I'm a jack of all trades necro from BiP, SS, MM, & 55 HP UW solo.
- I currently have every necro skill and most elites which I am working on.
- I'm currently have Prophecies & Factions finished and working on Nightfall & VERY shortly GWEN.
- VERY friendly and willing to help.
- I'm a collector of greens/rare items and am willing to help you get yours.
- I currently run a 3 Necro man/hero team that cuts through mob after mob like a hot knife through butter to help out anyone beat any mission.

What I require:
- Guild w/ website & hall.
- Friendly group of ppl that keep flaming to a minimum.
- Guild to tell me how many members are usually active at a time.
- Guild to have mature players. Please, no kids unless they don't act like one.

Miscellaneous:
- I've been in huge guilds w/ MANY alliances as well as a small-nit group of ppl. I'm very flexible w/ both.
- I'm Rank 3 in PvP and enjoy doing PvP every so often, sometimes more than PvE. I know how to play every primary & secondary (ranger, warrior, etc.) VERY well.
- Well experienced w/ HTML. Can be moderator.
- Have been playing since 3 months after release of first game (2 years ago).

Hey there!

Let's see, where should I start. I'm a 21 year old male who hasn't been playing Guild Wars for too long. Bought it quite some time ago (bit before factions was released), but was too busy with that -other- online game to do much with it so I stopped playing until recently.

I've never been part of a real Guild Wars guild. I made my own for a cape, but that doesn't really count since I'm the only one in it >.> Haven't seen many opportunities to join one. In WoW, one would typically join a guild after doing an instance with people (or apply on a website for raiding guilds, but that doesn't really seem to be anything like GW), but I don't pug much in Guild Wars since I find Heroes/Henchmen to be much easier to control than some crazy w/mo with a hammer charging into 3 groups. This is one of the main reasons I'd like to join a guild - I want to play with people, just not people like that.

Sure, there's lots of guilds recruiting in all the major cities, but I refuse to join any guild who spams recruitment messages to increase their numbers. I'd take a guild of 15 cool people over a guild with 200 random idiots any day.

Speaking of WoW, I suppose I should mention my past guild experiences from that game for anyone who cares. I was a core member of one of the Hakkar server's top raiding guilds (AQ40, Nax, etc) up until I quit the game shortly after Burning Crusade's release. So I know how guilds work, although I definitely am not going to be playing GW as hardcore as I did WoW.

I own Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall, but not EotN. I've been making progress in all 3 campaigns with 3 separate characters (Warrior in Prophecies, Assassin in Factions, and Dervish in Nightfall), all of which are 20 with max armor but haven't completed the game yet. Probably gonna be playing the Assassin primarily.

I don't think I'm a terrible player, I rarely die on any of my characters, even the assassin (love that critical agility/defenses). However I am still pretty new, so there's a lot of stuff that I don't know about.

What I'm looking for is a small-medium sized but active and social Kurzick guild that doesn't mass recruit and is comprised of mature (well, at least semi-mature), mostly literate players. I don't mind typos and minor grammatical errors, but if there's one thing I can't stand it's ppl who tlk like this n dnt use ? makrs, much liek evry1 tlking in LA/KC/kamadan. I'm primarily interested in a PvE based guild, although I definitely do not mind a bit of PvP.

Hello,
I am looking to join a guild. I started playing GW (now Prophecies) about a month after its release, and quite steadily for a year or so. I bought Factions when it was released and didn't find it too intersting so I stopped playing for a while because of that and time constaints with a new job. Unfortunately last summer my house got struck by lightning and, well, you can imagine what that did to my PC. I used an old laptop up until a month ago, (too old to run GW), when I finally decided it was time to get a new PC. I decided to buy Nightfall and give GW another chance. I like it a lot more than Factions and am getting back into the game now. I am a little rusty, but its coming back to me quickly. I have a couple lvl 20 Warriors and a couple lvl 20 Elementalists, and am working on a Dervish.
I am ideally looking for a guild on the East coast as I live in the Boston area, that is pretty relaxed, as I don't have as much time to devote to the game as I used to, and mature as I am almost 30. I am usually playing after 7 in the evenings and sporadically on weekends.
If your guild has a spot for me, send me a message describing your guild. BTW I play almost exclusively PvE, and enjoy some farming.

I have come to join this forum in hopes of meeting fellow gamers, and new friends. I have played MMORPG's diligently, but wanted a more dynamic sense of beauty in a game. So, I found myself purchasing GW. Where as I am not new to gaming, I am new to the concept of Guild Wars. I have never been part of a close knit Guild or Clan, I truly felt at home in. I am hoping to find that comradery here in this community. So Yes! I am looking for a guild.

I am not looking to be taught the game. (I do ask questions, and love advice!)
I am not looking for free items, or runs or gp. (I prefer to take my time doing things, within the GW realm.)
I am not looking for anything I can't earn within the game myself. (Please don't buy my friendship, membership, or me. I'm Priceless!)
What I am looking for? A place, that allows one to game and feel part of a family. I'd prefer a mature guild. One based with good ethics, and gallantry.

Does valor, friendship, laughter and smiling really exist? Well at least in the gaming world? If so, please take the time to Message me here, and tell me about your guild. I have not tried all the classes as of yet, but have a fondness for the Ranger and Paragon class. I also have an affinity with birds of prey. All my character names reflect such. (Just a tidbit of information.)

P.S. I am not an Advanced (Regarding Level) player, so people with requirements skip to the next add!
