LogoEdit: Kaiser's post at the bottom of this page contains our classic Axe Spiker build for tonight's 00b pwning. Post to request your spot, and we'll add you to the roster.Ok, I'd like to hear some suggestions for activities this weekend. I'm at a loss personally because right now I want to do a bit of everything. Missions, alliance battles, HA, GvG (gah.... it's been so long...). If anyone has a strong preference for something, let's make some plans so we don't spend the weekend doing too much group flailing.

My monk still needs to catch up (do Naphui) but since I'm online earlier than most people, that shouldn't be a problem. Personally, I have been longing for some good GvG lately! My vote would be missions one night (lets get to the Jade Sea!) and GvG another, but I will be happy with anything!
EDIT: Ready and waiting at the Temple!

After last night's more than doubling of my fame in HA , I would really like to do some GvG this weekend. If we GvG, does anyone want to do a special build, or should we pull out Old Reliable (degen/axe spike)? I'm up for whatever.

I really need to do some missions, but I've also been really itching for some GvG! Of course, HA is always an option for me ;D. Last night really was a nice run, although again we came up on a blood spike holding build in the Halls.
At any rate, I think some GvG would be fun as I haven't done that in awhile.

We're incredibly lucky that our Good Republic hasn't been invaded in over a month, but I don't expect our good fortune to hold out much longer. Nay, I predict that THIS SATURDAY, we will be invaded by 00bs once again, and we will show them the meaning of dealage. With our bolstered confidence, there's no reason we can't turn the tides take the battle to the enemy as well.
So with this threat on the horizon, we MUST train our minds and bodies by working on quests and missions on Thursday and Friday, for the 00bishness of npcs is nothing, NOTHING I tell you compared to the 00bishness of the prophecized invaders. We have to work up to the challenge.
These 00bish ones have grown powerful in our absence, but their power is dwarfed only by a tragic overconfidence and smug complacency the size of Delor's ego. They have forgotten the power of our Axe Spiking build, which was once almost kind of sort of REALLY EFFECTIVE at pwning 00bs! But times have changed, oh yes, so I feel it wise to meditate on how the new classes and builds can complement the same basic template.
It will be epic! EPIC, I TELL YOU!

Logo, aren't you the grammar nazi? So how did a silly mistake such as "prophecized" come forth from you? I'm ashamed! You didn't just spell a word wrong, or add an extra suffix to it, YOU MADE IT UP. Prophecized is not a word, the word is prophesied. I hate to call you on it on your birthday, but I'm sorry, it is just too upsetting. I can't let this grammatical treason against the Republic go unpunished. I hereby charge Logonitur Karn with the crimes of word fabrication and falsifying guild records. You are summoned to trial this weekend when the honorable Triia Lostwind and The Court of Officers will try you. I would also move that Sybarite or Bryce be allowed to sit on the council in Mr. Karn's stead during the trial.
Other than that I've got graduation parties this weekend but I should be on during guild operating hours. I think GvG/HA should make up a good chunk of playing time, but we need someone experienced planning the build. I've been working on an Assassin Spiker but I can't quite get it right. It is close though, I just need to tweak some stuff and look at all the skills and see the Damage/Energy/Recharge.
I'm done rambling now about what I want to do this weekend and how horrible of a person Logo is. I'll see you online, and I will be beautiful.

Dear Mr. Mephalon,
I regret to inform you that you are hereby accused of subordination of an officer for attempting to arrest your superior. I would kindly remind you that as a Nazi of Grammar, it is my DUTY to be as fanatical and megalomaniacal with regards to the English language as possible; thus, it is theoretically impossible for my judgement to be in error. As such, I hereby declare "prophecized" as a legitimate, and dare I say, very good word, and establish it as the correct past tense of "prophecy". Furthermore, any use of the word "prophesied", which after having been typed in explication herein no longer exists, will be taken as a direct offense against the Grammar Nazi party.
Thank you, Logonitur Karn

Dear Mr. Mephalon, It is with great sadness that I must charge you with Word Fabrication, for maliciously inventing an incorrect past tense of "prophecy". Your offense is recorded as follows: Prophecized is not a word, the word is prophesied. I'm sure I'm not alone in finding your fabrication to be highly upsetting, for if this word existed, which it does not, its use would be a grave offense against our Good Republic. However, the Grammar Nazi Party is a benevolent body, and as such, I am willing to let you off with a warning. This is your second offense in under a day; I assure you that the consequences of a third will be far less accommodating. Thank you, Logonitur Karn

Alright, lots of talk about GvG. No action! See what happens when i'm not around for a couple days? Saturday, May 20th. GvG time. Sign up here. We can bring out the dusty axe spike/degen build for kicks, and move on from there. Lucky for you I won't be back from work until 10:30 Eastern to crack the whip. If you can be there, please post a time. I would encourage for things to get started as soon as possible, even without me. However, if I come back to disorganized flailing, I may have to deal.

Will we be working with a 3rd monk, a protector of monks, or an extra Karn mesmer? Since that is usually my spot, I need to know what to bring with me. Which version of the degen spike will we be doing?

Kaiser, I was extremely curious about bringing a ritualist healer in that spot. I'm going to think about the build in more detail today, and post it later, if all goes well.
Malae, if you can sift through all of the bombastic nonsense in my post, you'll find that I actually specified Saturday as the day for GvG dealage. 'Twas the plan from the start! But nice try!

That sounds pretty cool, Logo. Does that, then, put me into the energy spiker place? Or should I build a degen necro? I could monk or axe spike, but I'd really rather not. Oh yeah...for those unfamiliar with our standard GvG build here it is (modified per Logo's suggestion):
Axe Spike 1 - Monkey Axe Spike 2 - Jupiter Degen Necro 1 - Delor Degen Necro 2 - Triia Energy Spiker - Kaiser Healing Rit - Logo Healer Monk - Norm Protector Monk- Malae (replace if enough people are on before I get back)
Usually we pair up one axe spiker and one necro, and each pair picks on a monk. The mesmer helps out either by shutting down a third monk or just being a random nuisance to all casters. Then the first axe spiker calls a target, and everyone spikes it. Combo axe/blood/energy spike, very effective usually.
Sign up with where you want to play.
