Our beloved HLR is now one year old! Such an occasion demands partying and fun! Some ideas that have been mentioned are a screenshot hunt and of courze, booze!
Suggestions are appreciated!

thats right, you have to find the area the screenshot was taken in while the shot is all fuzzy, then go there, get wasted, and take a screenie. It's brilliant I tell you, not just cause I'm drunk either.

Due to certain circumstances, the celebrations have possibly moved to tonight (May 4th)
Can anyone who is interested in celebrating post here?
Triia came up with a nice idea from Delor's suggestion of drunken screenshot hunting. She proposed that we all go and take our own screenshots, DRUNK. Then we all post them at the same time. The first person to capture and post EVERYONE else's screenshot (still DRUNK) will win! Sound fun?
LOGOEDIT: The hunt will take place in a SINGLE region to ensure a level playing ground - we're thinking Kryta.

I'm up for the festivities any night between today and Sunday, but I was going to give my beverages of choice to those who were going for drinking titles.
Thinking about making my characters tea-totalers so I didn't have space on my title tab used for a title I would never get.

Just so you guys know...screenshot hunts are going to get very difficult soon, since some people are way further than others in Factions. OTOH, it could force me to move my characters faster.
BTW, Jupiter, the correct spelling is teetotaler; it has nothing to do with tea.

Hmm, I was under the impression that we were having the screenshot hunt in Prophecies. If you wanted it in Factions, we could have it on Shing Jea Island, as the majority of us have gotten there, or could get there with a level 20 character.

That's fine with me. I just was bringing it up so that people would remember that some of us can't get to every place on the map. As far as drunkenness, I already gave all of my EtOH to Delor, so I guess I'll be doing sober screenshot hunting.

Malae forgot to mention that the hunt will take place in Kryta, which will make it an even playing ground for everyone.
Also, I'm afraid everyone who plays has to have at least a pint of ale (or their beverage of choice). This is a genuine virtual drinking game, complete with the requisite aura of seediness and debauchery, and as such, you must comply with our drunken demands.
Plus, as is the case so often in life, if you stay sober, you'll lose, because without alcohol you WILL NOT be able to make your screen look like the one you're trying to find. The colors and curvature will render your screen unverifiable, I'm afraid. Not to mention the fact that your sober screenshot will be infinitely easier to find than those of your drunken comrades, which will give you an inherent disadvantage.

As always, thing are more fun if we make them more complicated, right? This is what I had in mind so that everyone can take a screenshot and participate in the hunt as well: - We meet tonight and agree on a region to stick to, as Logo said, Kryta would probably be a well balanced area. - Everyone goes off and finds a spot that is relatively easy to get to. Make it creative but not impossible. - Have a refreshing beverage after your run, take your screenshot, upload it (something like Photobucket works well) and prepare a post. - When everyone is finished, we'll all post at the same time and there will be a mad drunken dash to find everyone elses screenshots. - Whoever finds the complete set and manages to replicate them all wins! This will take some ale to complete and if anyone needs some help aquiring a mug or two, let me know. We also need a prize! Any suggestions? |

What if I was to drink all 500 pints of ale at once? Nobody could recognize my screenshot. It would be terrible. And tonight might not work for me, I have a track meet.
