It has been too long, my friends. It has been too long that PvE has lived without fear. It has been too long that PvE has gone without us laughing in the face of its greatest challenges (and then giving up because it was 6:00 in the morning and Urgoz still wasn't dead)...
It has been too long.
So, I propose this:
We, the mighty Half Life Republic (and possibly Rent-A-Guildies from the alliance) go on a quest to kick PvE's ass.
This means (some or all): -Domain of Anguish! -Underworld! -Fissure of Woe! -Sorrow's Furnace! -Urgoz's Warren! -The Deep?
Do we do it the pro way and bring a real team, or wimp out and all go Ursan? It doesn't matter, as long as we kick PvE's ass.
What say ye?!

Ursans make the job easier---so besides Sorrow's Furnace---I suggest ye wimp out.
Domain of Anguish in a couple of hours versus 20-30 = best. Same with others.

Memememe I wanna' go! What's this "possibly Rent-A-Guildies from the alliance" business? Try and stop me! >=(
Plus, I'll be hitting r8/9 in Norn soon... and I'm sure Kiwi'd love to go. I'm up for everything. 'cause I really want those little statues.
I'll ask around with the others, but Trip mentioned that he might like to do DoA... dunno' about Myst or Spike, though.

Also of note---consumables are required for even r10 Ursans in DoA.
Dunno about Urgoz/Deep.
Aid in FOW/UW but not necessary.

I guess I'm off to farm Norn points in my spare time, then...

We make you do it because we're bad people.

If you're interested, please post the character(s) you'd like to do these missions on. I know I'm not the only one who's trying to get most of the HoM achievements on one character.
For me: Ele.

I guess I'm off to farm Norn points in my spare time, then... I'll join you in the pain. One bit of good news... I still have the Path to Revelations quest and supposedly it's one of the fastest routes. Killing 250 foes and then the bosses apparently can net upwards of 6k faction in about 30 minutes. Khunlin and I vanquished the area and then killed the bosses during the double points weekend. I think I ended up with nearly 20k faction. EDIT: I'd prefer my ranger. If needed, I can switch to monk.

Ele as well here.
I can monk the DoA if we do it since I already have the Mallyx statue (would just be doing it for primeval remnants).
As for the Path to Revelations, that 6k faction bit in 30 minutes is only if you have high level ursans + whatever the speed boost consumable is. Generally it's about an hour otherwise.

Ele for everything. Kiwi's playing monk, I guess... Is it necessary for me to hit r9+? I'm filling out (read abusing) the dungeon books... so once I'm about 1k below r8, I'll redeem the dungeon book and get an instaboost!

Ranger for me too preferably but my ele (ha! like we need another one of those) and monk have a decent chance for tagging along instead.

R9+ is a very good idea for the DoA. Allow me to relate from my personal experience:
I was r8 when I did the entire quest, and I was always the target. It helps if you're all r10 because they don't focus on one as much in particular. I went with varying r9-r10s during each section of the quest.
Generally, it's a nice favor to the monks, I've found. Also this is with Essence of Celerity, Armor of Salvation, and Grail of Might up. If you're a higher Ursan---you kill faster and save yourself from running the risk of having to use 2 of these sets per area of the DoA.
I haven't done Urgoz's Warren or the Deep so I don't know how hard it is otherwise; I'm sure my other guildies could relate.

I'm patiently waiting on the others... yesterday's time was just about perfect for me, if everyone else is willing to or able to play at those times. Grand adventures are fun - and next time, let's hope that Khunlin doesn't get DCed (or if you're Kaiser, you can hope that he does so that other people can get greens...)
