Um...is this quest possible without an organized group? I think not! Any help I can get sometime would be very nice.

Yes it is quite possible. I have done it with only heroes and henches with my Ranger. The trick is to do the apostate quest at the same time. Follow him around the long way to the end of Kormir's Crusade. It takes a bit longer, but there are far less red dots all in one group. Plus you can get the lightbringer points for doing the apostate quest. Just make sure the Kormir is following you when you take off after the Apostate.
