Just my nosy self wondering what peoples' plans are for this weekend. If you care to share, what profession, gender, name, times, goals, etc. for the weekend? I'm thinking a paragon (female of course), but may do something different. I might use the name I came up with for my permanent paragon but I'm afraid it'll be so cool someone will steal it! jk It'll be a very busy weekend with lots of other stuff going on so I don't know how much I'll be on except the normal hours after 8pm-ish. I also have to work Friday so I may get up insanely early just so I can have a taste, but that may make the day of waiting worse for me.  My goals are scoping out the armors and new weapon skins. |

I'll probably be around for Saturday and Sunday. I plan to make a Male Dervish, and frankly I have no goals. Names...something ending with Calaveron or Illuvatar. Yes, I know it was brief  |

I, unfortunately, can't squeeze any extra playtime in, although I might be more willing to stay up late ;D
I intend to explore the new continent on my female Paragon, who may or may not be permanently named... with a side-project of drooling all over the new skills, specifically Ele and Monk... and, of course, scouting out the bosses ;D... gonna hit the ground running when Nightfall goes live!

Hehe, I was going to make a thread like this this morning. ;D And mainly because I have no idea what I'm going to do.  At the moment, I don't have any preference towards the dervish or the paragon and I still feel kind of annoyed that the female paragon has the "Oh, I'm just a delicate little caster type.... oooo... look! New high-heel shoes to wear! /giggle" look. Why not a "I shall smite the evils of my enemies! Bow down before me, cowards! /roar" look? *ahem* Anyway, I'm considering deleting my assassin (lol, my assassin) temporarily (I've put all of about an hour of work, if that, into her ) so I could try one of each class. As far as gender, probably female for either, though I'm sure I'll spend a ridiculous amount of time in the character creation screen checking things out. And names... ugh.... I should start now so I have something ready. Hmm.... must look into North African names... Goals... I should probably try to soak up as much as I can about the new skills. That's always a weakness for me. I'm almost hesitant about doing as much exploring as we did during the FPE. I don't feel like it spoiled stuff but nothing in the Jade Sea was much of a surprise. I'm getting the impression that we might be limited to the starter island though. I might be able to be on Friday morning and Saturday is looking pretty good. And the usual hours at night, of course. |

Sadly, I will only be able to play Friday evening/night (though shall be distracted by Stargate), and then possibly Sunday evening. It always seems when something big is going to happen I am either at home (which no longer has internet -.-) or have a ton of crap I have to do for school ; ;. Otherwise, if I do get to play, I shall be making a male dervish, as I enjoyed them during the PvP event moreso than the Paragons. I have NO idea about name, possibly something quite stupid, as I don't think I'll have a permanent name yet. Hope to be around this weekend!

My plan is to start my second female character - a dervish. Actually, she will be my third since I originally had a Me/W for PvE that I deleted to get a PvP slot. I guess I like my melee characters to be female. Weird, huh. Anyway, I was thinking of naming her Lylah Ikara or something along those lines. This may or may not be the name I settle on for my final character. I'm not sure if I will try out the paragon, since I'm not really interested in that play type. I might change one of my other characters over to a secondary paragon to get the skills unlocked. I think Som might make a pretty good candidate for that, or maybe Gwalch. I did like that PvP spear hurling ranger. The good news is I am off on Friday, so I will be able to play some, at least in the morning. In the afternoon, I am going to a convention across town (my one geek-meet I do during the year).
Personally, Triia, I like the look of the female paragon. It is deceiving. "Oh, I'm just a delicate little caster type...oooo...look! It's my friend Mr. Pointyspear! Mr. Pointyspear is a Vicious Spear of You-slaying. Say 'Hi' Mr. Pointyspear."

My plans for this weekend are pretty extreme. There's strife in the login screen - uppity Lunos has lost sight of his cultural heritage, and has fallen into a life of crime. It will take a North African paragon to show him the Way, and teach him to be proud of his race. Look forward to thrilling preachy monologues, chants, and shouts, and don't miss a touching scene in which, after meeting his brothers in the Tribe at last, a single tear trickles down Lunos's cheek, and this tear turns out to be the Pain, Joy, and Love of the Universe, and by universe I mean folks of color everywhere. This is one event you can't AFFORD to miss.
Also I'm going to make a dervish named Broke Nigga who earns cheap money by doing bad Jesus impressions. Who knew that Jesus was a Lord of phat beats? I hear Logo is locking his doors, and Sylali is hiding his knife collection.
...what? North Africa? Oh...

Does anyone know if the event's going to start tonight? I remember they said the PvP one would start at the stroke of midnight on Friday, but it ended up starting around 9 EST Thursday night.

The official line is 12:01AM PDT (3:01AM EDT), but it would be nice if they opened it up early.

ANet seems to like to surprise us. Technically, it probably should be starting at 3am EST but they've started early before. I've promised myself that I won't be up until 3 tonight (PROMISED!!), though I'll most likely hang out for a while to see if anything exciting happens.

Hmm. Well I plan to play alot saturday and sunday, as I have nothing else to do. I'm going out tonight so I won't be around when it starts at midnight for me. I don't have school tomorrow, but i'm going to Flyboys and Jackass II. Not sure on the showtimes yet so I can't say when i'd be gone. But other than that i'll be playing as much as I can  |

Well so much for pve, finished the entire thing in 8 hours...
Oh well, no new pvp content as far as I'm aware besides the 2 new RA and TA maps.
Time to turn my heroes into an IWAY team.
