Just an FYI, Kaiser and I are bringing our rits through the WiK missions. If anyone needs the temple of intolerance (3rd) we plan on starting it around 8:30pm edt kinda as a preemptive warm up to the night's festivities.

I... I just turned in my E&M... I think I survived the worst part of the week? At any rate, clearly the most prudent course of action would be to play video games instead of getting a headstart on next week's homework. Will anyone be around tonight?

Today me and Khunlin learned that it IS possible to win in tournament PvP!
We had a memorable run that took us all the way to the last round. In the first match we came from behind with a truly heroic Chieftan steal brought to you by team HLR. We literally won by seconds as the scores ticked up, weaving in and out of each other.
The second team formed itself like a wrecking ball, sweeping through the waterfall and straight into our guild hall. Me and a couple others reciprocated, killing their lord, while Khunlin and friends mopped up. The lords cancelled but we came out of it with all three control points, putting us in a comfortable lead. We then proceeded to fall apart, losing all of our points and nearly tossing the entire match until we made a last stand at the waterfall and again enjoyed another heart attack of a win.
Khylo is an incredibly tricky map to play well. Our mesmer was responsible for the treb but started to rage as an unkillable ele camped him and finally forced him out. Meanwhile, Khunlin and I took to the clock tower and nearly held it, until I accidentally rode the lightning into a wall leaving us both to die. So hey, it was a tough match, but we ended up in second place with a couple shiny chests to our name!
Now what's missing from this story? If only Jupiter had been on the treb, Triia had comforted the rager with an inspiring speech, and Malae had warded it up, we could have won!

I'll be around for exactly the next couple of nights (well, tonight and tomorrow night). I might allow myself to be dragged into some PvP. Do expect some whining, though.

THREE times. And we almost killed him the last time  (Inside joke explanation: The Priest of Balthazar event chain was described to us by that Christalah guy as "the hardest boss in the game". He was talking about how he hasn't seen it done on HoD in a long time. We managed to do his lead-up chain and nearly kill him three times last night. The lead-up chain is actually quite difficult ) |
