This is the thread where I gush about my new operating system while you all sigh and shake your heads in disapproval, and really, shame.
This is my desktop. Note the wonderfully pointless analog clock and virtual post it note.
This is my desktop underwater.
Vista makes even the most mundane tasks fun. Whereas before using exciting programs like Notepad was about as fun as ripping your nails off, now it's more like ripping your nails off while eating the most luscious chocolate. And minesweeper is now one of the most advanced games on the market - it was almost too intense for me to handle. If you click on one of those mines, HOLD ON.
This is the new alt-tab. It's pretty much what I've been doing for the last day or so.
Windows Media player shows off the frosted glass effect pretty well. Perfect for playing such an amazing CD. Also notice the fishy. Incidentally, clicking All Programs now replaces the left pane of the start menu with a programs list. So you don't have to worry about keeping your mouse on the little pop up menu anymore. This will apparently triple productivity in most corporations.
Vabbi encased in Aero Glass is more beauty than any man should have to endure.
It renders the game in real time even when in this view.
Ok... I'm done now.
EDIT: I guess I should add that I got Vista as part of the engineering program at UF. I didn't pay for it, but I didn't pirate it either.
