New tower now through scholarship money. Just downloading all the updates again.
As for my dog, well, it's been quite upsetting to me. The one specialist we went to gave her a 30-70 chance at life, rather after finding out she has lepto likely. So we'll see how things go...
I'm attempting to be optimistic.

She....
Apparently has nothing else that can be done for her now. So it was advised that she be put to sleep.
I'm not sure how I'm going to handle that but...
I won't have to hijack this thread anymore.

Quick update for me:
Apparently I missed a call a bit over a week ago concerning my laptop...and they decided it was a good idea to not call me back or leave a message. So I called up the shop I took it too, and the guy I talked to said...or at least as far as I understood...that my video card is fried, which is what I figured. Well, he then tries to tell me that it's not worth replacing, as he had a friend of his research my model and he said that the video card was integrated. I called BS on that...I took my own computer apart, then checked the Alienware website, and everything told me I could easily replace my video card. So he said he'd have his GM look into it, as he's the "laptop guru."
That was about 4 days ago, and I'm still waiting on a response. Going to call them up in a few days if they don't call me. If they give me some more bull shit, I'm going to get my computer from them and give them a piece of my mind (yes, I am currently very pissed at them). I will be going out of state next weekend for my sister's wedding, at which point I will drop the computer off at a friend's shop at home, who I know can do the repair.
In conclusion, finally...I hope to have my computer back within the next month, depending on how long it takes me to get the video card, and then get back home to pick up my computer.
P.S. Like I said in another thread, I found a computer lab that has GW installed, so I might be on every so often between now and then. I will also copy down the Vent info, as I finally got around to getting Vent on my gf's Mac...only problem with that is it requires a certain Codec to be used, so we'll see how well that works. Until then!
Fantastical Edit!!!: So, finally got back ahold of my computer, what a fiasco that was. Apparently the high res chip on it is screwed, so I need to replace the video card. Unfortunately, with how shitty Alienware is, they currently don't have any extras in any of their warehouses...and I was told the best place to find one is on eBay. Went to eBay...no way in hell am I spending $500 freaking dollars for a card. Currently trying to find one through some people I know, hoping it will be a bit cheaper. If I can't find a GeForce 6800 Go 256mb card (hint hint, if anyone knows of one I can get >.>), then I may be out for longer...just going to go back to the good ol' desktop when I can afford to buy one.

Firm, undeniable proof that I am very good at this "remembering" thing that's all the rage these days. My grandparents are visiting from England for an I'm-Not-Sure amount of time... starting today. I knew about it a few weeks ago, but I always forgot about it before logging on to the forums/getting on Vent. So yeah. I seem to remember it didn't really disrupt anything last time... but the potential is there that I'll be whisked away to go out to dinner or something and not be around. (Unfortunately, the potential increases on weekends)... it tends to be spur-of-the-moment, so I'm afraid I can't give more than five minutes' advance warning, most of the time  |

More traveling and company weekends ahead. This weekend we'll be elsewhere cheating on Guild Wars with Rock Band...ahem lalalalalalala "I'm a wierdooo" sorry, warming up Next weekend we'll most likely have company and won't be around much, though I suspect there will be some GW birthday thing that I'll have to pop in for. |

My dad was admitted to the hospital yesterday; they didn't do anything but spend hours injecting him with drugs in the ER that didn't do anything and make him wait to get a room in the ICU.
So hopefully they're going to look at him today...and I have to bring him stuff and such.
With final exams and that---not sure how much I'll be around for the next few days.

Starting on Monday, we're going to be having increasingly large numbers of guests at our house--starting with visitors from Britain and culminating in about seventy passed-out college students after my brother's graduation party on Friday. I may or may not be around much this coming week.
Early June I'm heading up to Seattle to help my brother move in... and then late June we're going back to England for a week or two.
