Legendary Cartographers

Since it looks like I'll soon no longer be the only Legendary Cartographer ( ), I thought I'd help out anyone who might need it. I used a few little... helpful techniques.

Here's a FAQ on using TexMod and how to check your maps in Photoshop, GIMP or Paint. Very useful.

I mainly used TexMod, once I discovered it, but I got stuck close to the end on Elona and Cantha. If you have problems with the last few tenths, go to this thread, follow the instructions at the beginning and post your map. Also very useful. If anyone wants to use it but doesn't have an account, let me know and I'll post your map for you.

Wiki also has a nice page with some hints. Make sure you take advantage of the Eredon Terrace glitch in Cantha. That's a fun one!

Hmmm... I might have to ask you to post it, since I'm at 91.1, have most pale bits disappeared, and I'm at my wits' ends to what to do. What I do have remaining shouldn't be THAT big of a discrepancy...

Posted. It doesn't look like there have been many replies to that thread lately ( D: ), but I'll keep an eye on it.

EDIT: Lia, is that the right image size? It doesn't look quite right to me. It should be 1024 x 768 and I see it labeled as 800 x 478 on my tab. The overlay won't work unless it's exactly the right size.

I think that's because my laptop screen is pitifully small. >.< I might have to ask Khunlin or Kiwi to take the screenshot instead... bah!

Your laptop should be able to go up to 1024x768. Set the resolution in GW and make sure you take the picture in fullscreen mode... if it's windowed, it'll come out smaller.
