the one thing i hate about anet is how they nerf skills vs buff. they make skills worth taking useless, and keep useless skills useless... come on. just buff up some elites that aren't used, so we can have a more versatile set of usable skillz! dumb anet...

Have they said it's not coming out this month or is it just because it's not out yet? =o

Regina said that there would not be a skill update this month, since they're so busy with the content update.

Well, I was going to introduce this with a lot of screaming but Khunlin's post up above just takes the wind out of my sails. In any case, with a mild quiver of excitement, I give you.... this.

Holy cow I'd copy and paste but with my mouse I would give my self a hernia out of frustration. They should really have those warnings appear for a moment for those of us with the password thingie so that we skip that page. Momentary panic when my characters looked funky - then I had to take screenshots! Ooo...goodies posted from GWG (spoiler?)

It has been a very long time since I have been this disappointed by a skill update. The vast majority of the changes are total nerfs, without bringing anything else up to replace them. The only one that seems to have gotten a boost is IW. Now I'm all for IW, but they are too easy to beat by simply shattering the enchantment. All-in-all, poor form, Anet.

As boring and lame as nerf-updates are, it's really necessary.
GW has been in a power-creep since NF came out... it's becoming rock-paper-scissors, where ANet thinks that the way to balance a crazy-overpowered skill is to buff a crazy-overpowered counter... holding back the buff to hexes by buffing hex removal, etc, etc...
It's gotten to the point that the skills are what really decides games... you can try to run balanced and have a "counter" to everything, but now that those other skills are so powerful, you can't REALLY counter them without that specific skill ANet buffed to counter it...
Like, for example: back in the day, your balanced team goes vs. hexes, your Mesmer and Ranger could shut down their hexers easily enough. But an LC has quick enough recharges and strong enough energy management that it takes a lot of focus for an interrupter to keep one down... ANet thinks it's "balanced" by PnH, but what about the other counters?
I dunno. I think there just needs to be an across-the-board nerf once in a while.

For instance, Mirror of Ice and Steam---they have PvP vs. PvE for reasons. So why nerf both? But I understand the other necessity, as you've stated.
