I didn't feel like necroing the other threads, so made a condensed, new one.  Would any of the guildies be up to trying out and messing around with any of these games? Rift went F2P today, and I used to play it for a couple months, and I know Jack played it as well! Aion's getting a new update with Dark Betrayal with new classes and stuff June 26th, so that'd be a cool one to check into. And of course, Minecraft....is minecraft. I would love to get everyone into this again, and I mean EVERYONe this time!  I'd be willing to pay for a dedicated server for at least the first month to see if it's something everyone would be interested in. It's 20$ a month for 20 people, so a dollar per person (can include bukkit, etc). But yeah, just tossing around this idea. I love gw, but I think new, crazy ventures would be fun once in a while too ;D |

I would certainly be interested. I've been craving Aion and wouldn't mind playing some Rift again. I'm a little intimidated by the vast amount of changes that've been made to Minecraft but I imagine I'd pick it up again with some practice.

I actually have a level 9 character in Aion atm. I don't play it much, only when Jupiter stops giving me dirty looks for being unfaithful...to GW2. I miss the AIAIAIAIAIAIAIAOOOONNNN at the loading screen, and it still feels incredibly grindy, but maybe with a group it would be better.
I remember Rift fondly, but I will have to reinstall it and see if I can remember my account info. Never really played Minecraft - it doesn't really seem all that interesting to me. If someone can come up with a really good reason for me to shell out money, I might try it.

I'm checking in on my Rift account. I can't even remember what kinds of characters I had.  I will also have to admit to downloading Aion lately. I got a character ascended pretty quickly, soared around Verteron and did the gate jump a few times for old times sake. I haven't moved on yet since it's still kind of a lonely game on your own. |

So I checked Rift today, and I have a character (lvl 15 cleric, and lvl 10 mage) on each of the trial shards. Any thoughts on where I should move them?

I have a few characters on one of the trial servers (Silkweb?), too. A level 24 (!!) cleric and a level 18 mage, along with a few other experiments. I guess one thing we'd need to address is if we want a PvP or a PvE server.
Hmm... looks like there are only two PvP servers; Seastone and Necropolis.

I looked at the Rift servers again and there are Hailol (recommended (but a silly name)), Threesprings, Shatterbone and Wolfsbane. I'm not sure what recommended means and all servers had 'high' populations.
I don't know if it's free to transfer around and what server other people are on. I'm going to experiment and send one of my low level characters to Threesprings.

I'll begin major patching of Aion tonight, I have no idea what server I was on or what level my character(s) are In Rift I have 2 chars on Seastone, a lvl 38 rouge and a lvl 33 Cleric, and have a couple lowbies on Wolfsbane And Kaiser, THIS is why you should shell out money for minecraft  |

Not tooo much now, though while people are starting to level it's going to get PvPy again I assume. The mid level zones aren't too busy, generally the low lvl and high lvls are.
I like the pVp, but if we want to roll a PvE that's fine as well.

I talked with Jack and Jason a bit tonight and they're on Faeblight which is actually a PvE-RP server. They said it's not bad though and that they'd be happy to get on and help us out. I think I'm going to make a cleric on that shard and mess around a bit.
