Jupiter and I are starting a Rift trial week this evening if anyone wants to tag along.
EDIT: Scratch that...the 6 hour download will probably push it back to tomorrow night to start

Hmm... I wasn't sure if I'd be interested in that game or not. I have to work for the next two nights, but let me know what you guys think. If it's good, I could let it download Monday while I'm sleeping and join you guys in the evening, perhaps.  |

It is a game I have heard good things about, but I'm afraid to like it. It has a monthly fee on op of the initial purchase price. I just don't want to plunk down that much money to play a game. We're going to have free time during the day his weekend (yay holiday weekend!), so we may be in game on different hours from usual.

Well, I've read a little more about it and am certainly intrigued, though they seemed to feel that the end content was a little weak and people were drifting away. In my poking around the internets, I did find that they're holding a weekend sale with the game at 50% off. I'll still download it Monday (unless you guys come back with terrible reviews  ) and see if I can join in. I could be around in the late afternoon and evening, then I'm off until Thursday night. |

So far, it has been unfortunately good. I don't know if it is just because I have something new to do, but I actually kinda like it. It has its drawbacks, yes. It can be a bit grindy (kill-X-of-these or gather-Y-of-those type quests) at times, but there is some serious fun to be had in the raids and Rifts. I have heard that the trial only goes to level 15, and Jupiter and I are almost lvl 12 after about 8-10 hours total playtime. So by tomorrow night we might be needing to start new characters. I think I might actually feel sorry to see this one end. Stupid monthly fees.
