We found a stray puppy (she's some sort of Husky/Lab mix, less than a year old) and we're looking after her for the time being... but she's mildly destructive, so we had to put her in the laundry room while we all left the house for a few hours today. Unfortunately, we had forgotten about all of the clean laundry that was in the laundry room. The mess when we came back (mixed with her water bowl and a few biscuits) was epic. Luckily, there was only one casualty. Unluckily, that was my most favoritest shirt  |

So, this big system enhancement I've been working on is up and running and working pretty well. Now the company wants to celebrate, in LR on a Wednesday from 6-9pm cdt...and they actually invited me explaining that they're willing to pay my way to get me there.
Can I just have the $1000 and the couple of hours it would take to fly there and have my own celebration?

I'm so bad in a real HB tournament (ie without double weekend scrubs - of which I was one) that I got a bye halfway through. They couldn't find anyone bad enough to pair me up against?! Bah! Also, I have been up for... a while and I am stupidly tired. As soon as this is over and I get my 7 and counting tournament points, I am crashing so hard. Maybe. EDIT: Finished, and I got 6 points. Apparently byes don't count as legit wins, so I just got one guy who never showed.  56 out of 83, including first-round no-shows and other forfeits. New random thought: When's the next double HB weekend? |

Not having two teeth is like the ultimate dietary aid. I've completely stopped snacking, because I'm too lazy to go through the process of preparing anything that I can eat. At least, it was working, until I rediscovered chicken nuggets. Uh oh.
