Okay, good.
Did you make a stack of delicious, fluffy pancakes, only to find that you didn't have any maple syrup... so you ate them with just butter... tears welling in your eyes---a mere shadow of the tsunami of regret washing over your soul...
And then, as the last slice sat on your disenchanted tongue, its dry bitterness scraping not only your tastebuds, but also the now cold and hollowed husks of your childhood memories... you remember that you left the syrup on your desk?

That's not a very random thought there, Nick. Oh! That reminds me, you are all about to be treated to a Jupiter-dream narrative. No interpretations allowed! Ok, so Saturday night I had a dream about Kiwi (go ahead laugh it up, I dream a lot about people but this one I can actually share  ). I was pitching at a practice field at NC State warming up with the guys about to play in the impending World Series and the guys about to play in the also-impending Super Bowl, Kiwi, and a friend from HS/College days, Mike. After getting picked on about not knowing which teams were about to play, there was a mass exodus to team buses leaving me wondering (dream-stressed) how I was going to get to DC. So, chumming up to Mike for a ride didn't work but did somehow get him and Kiwi acquainted. Turned out that I was the only one of us 3 non-combatants who had a car there. Only problem was, I didn't know which car was mine (more dream-stress). Waiting till all the other cars cleared out revealed and orange...ORANGE...as in no modifier needed, orange, 1970's era VW Rabbit futuristic concept car. The thought of this absurd vehicle still makes me laugh days later. Trying to unlock it didn't really work because there were no doors. Just a glass bubble where the front seat occupants' heads went and there was supposed to be one for the backseat 5 ft further back, but alas, 1970 was a long time ago. The rest of it was really the comedic entering of the car by the three of us to which words will not do justice. There, I'm sure that made everybody's day. |
