Rick is completely oblivious to the fact that he's set the next project's due date to September 4, 2011. He's had this window open for three minutes uploading the page and PDF, and hasn't even noticed it, or something. I... can't believe... unfathomable... incompetence...

We just finished an awesome speed of light measurement experiment in my Experimental Methods class last week and I started crunching the numbers to churn out results yesterday... my lab partner and I took 3 data sets each for a total of 6. I did the math including all data and we got pretty good results (3.3e8 m/s, about 12% error)... but I was curious so I tried using our data sets separately...

Oh, look, my result was 2.90e8 m/s (2.57% error) and his data come out to 4.69e8 m/s (57.61% error)... apparently he has some statistical anomalies in his data that really dick up the chi-squared or something that mine were smoothing out when I combined data sets.

What's that? my measurements were 22x better than his? Oh, I'm not gonna say anything because I know that he'll do the same calculations, but hopefully he won't bitch as much next time I say "hey, Joe, maybe we should try X...". He's the know-it-all kid in my physics classes so I'm sure you guys can tell how happy this makes me.

My nerd victory is tremendous.

Thank you Kaiser! I have now just awoken from my turkey induced coma.


So.. funny story.. that is if you like to laugh at my incompetence and misfortune. During Thanksgiving dinner, we were all watching hockey, and it happened to be the season opener. I was giving hockey the attention it was due, while shoving turkey into my mouth.

I proceeded to literally, choke, on my turkey. Apparently eating and watching something is a feat too great for my coordination. I ran into the bathroom and vomited my whole dinner. I had such a gag-thing going on I continued to choke up turkey, and dry heave for 8 additional hours!

I'm doing some homework in the laundromat while I wait... reading through source code to figure out how I'm supposed to be doing this awful awful assignment... and then I see this comment:
