The power went out in section of downtown Detroit yesterday. My hospital was in that part. This, apparently, killed ALL of our air conditioning. Last night... was miserable. 80+ degrees on most of our units and the floor above us was even hotter. Ick.  |

Kirtland Air Force Base, on which Sandia National Laboratories are located, went on lock-down today... helicopters circling overhead all morning and soldiers with flak jackets and M16's at all of the intersections, at the tech area gates, and in the cafeteria... scared the &#@$ out of me... from what I heard, there was a shooting outside one of the main gates onto KAFB right near where I usually work--I had a chain of meetings that I would've missed if I'd left fifteen minutes later, when my building went on Shelter in Place. D:

In a mountainous, remote, icy, still, cavern a local voice cried out and lo! it was a Magical Kiwi. Which of course we had to put to the test so we dragged her through through all 3 Southern Shiverpeaks missions before expelling her on the shores of the mountainous, islandy, firey, hurty, Fire Islands. Turns out she's cooler than our Kiwi, because she actually plays with us (  at old Kiwi). P.S. I misspelled mountainous as mountaineous which works too. mountain + spontaneous = mountaineous! |
