I must say you have keen eyes. <_< To detail, anyway. I'm sure they based it off something though.

Filling out a SoN (Statement of Need) today at work and discovered we're in there:

Drove by a truck that I assume was some landscaping-type company that had
AGROPRO
pasted all over it. I thought "Hey, that's me!"
Yay for early morning Off-Topic posting rampages!

Oh, that one made me chuckle. I detect a new character name.

I was walking down the hall tonight and passed a newspaper thingy. There was some big headline about something but the only part that caught my eye was "BELOW 10,000" and my brain offered up "Yeah, but at least it's OVER 9,000" and I actually laughed out loud. One of my classmates asked me what I was laughing at and... I couldn't answer her... especially since I'm not even sure why that's supposed to be funny.

lol, Triia... that... that's awesome...
I'm sure you could soothe the nation's financiers (the ones without golden parachutes, that is) by reminding them that "While the Dow Jones has lost a significant portion of its value, fear not, for it is still OVER 9000!!!"

This is actually an old one, but still relevant:
When it comes to speakers, I love the new and fresh designs... ribbon tweeters and transmission line subs... and in the DIY speaker building world, new speaker designs are called "builds"...
So it turns out that no matter where I am, I'm all about new builds. It's also mildly amusing how many threads there are with titles like "New build! Heavily frontloaded." (It either has three warriors or is a very aggressive sounding speaker)

*Sigh* so far, every university class I've had has fit its stereotypes, as far as classmates. This trend unfortunately extended into my programming classes, and I was sitting next to some dudes who must be in some huge clan or something, 'cause one of them was all excited about having been promoted to "Platoon Sergeant" or something... he didn't even raise his hand when the prof asked who had prior programming experience, so he's just a lowly nerd *shakes head*
But anyway. One of them was like "I heard that this class was freakin' brutal. Kaiser got like a 30% in it." "Man, who cares about Kaiser? That dude's a tool" "Yeah, he's such a tard."
Naturally, I stood up to them and defended Kaiser's honour and good name. I even had time to clean the blood off of my sword before the class started.

One of my classmates was off the floor for most of the day today while attending a procedure with her patient. Most of us were finished up and plotting about going home from the safety of our super-secret nursing student hidey-hole (ie, the visitors lounge that none of the visitors know about). We had heard that our classmate had called and told our instructor that she was on her way back. All the sudden, she popped in the door and one of my other classmates announced, "There you are! We were just talking about you!" I came soooo close to blurting out "Yay for Signet of Tera Summoning!" I'm really gonna get myself in trouble one of these days.

I'm writing a huge response letter to my peer-review partner for English, which was actually due on Wednesday and I spaced on it (fun thing: so did half of the class. Phew!). While writing this letter, I complimented their ability to take a strong position and assert themselves, and the first thing that came to mind was "Awesome - strong like bear." I giggled, I was like "Oh, God, no," and then I put it on the paper. So I'm sure that'll be confusing for my poor partner tomorrow, unless she's familiar with GW gimmick builds on PvX Wiki.

This one's just sad and I don't really understand how or why it happens...
But seriously, for some reason, when I want to exit a program, step out of a directory, close a file or anything of that sort in UNIX, I keep typing "/resign"...
Apparently /resign is not a UNIX command, or so it says...

Pilot on the plane to Salt Lake City (had a crossover there) informed us that the flight would be shorter than projected because of "Strong favorable winds" and all I could think was "Airplane rangers are awesome!"

Ok, I was walking with some coworkers down the street on our way over to get some lunch today, when I see a small planter. In said planter are a bunch of small birds, which happened to be rather black with yellowish legs. My only thought was, "who's wandering around with their Baby Moas out?"

So I'm looking around for more CDs to voice the new stereo (it's hooked up to a CD player, not my computer, and my iPod is an audibly bad source)... seriously, who uses CDs anymore? I tried to raid my parents' collections, but I have a feeling that 70's disco tracks were not recorded to today's recording studio standards... Then I found my NF Collector's Edition Soundtrack... EPIC! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay kettle drums! Boo, stupid mirror in adjacent bathroom rattling with every beat and making distracting noise! I guess I have to bass-proof this side of the house, like I did around my old room
